To send/receive information with your Cloud Sync portal via cloud synchronization you need to enter your Cloud Sync account credentials.  Login to http://logbookpro.com/sync (create an account if necessary on right side of login screen) and you'll see your Account ID and Username (which may be your e-mail address) at the top.  Enter this information carefully in the top section as shown in the figure above (left).  You can leave the preferences to the defaults at this point and return to the Home Screen by tapping the top left button then tap "Sync" to receive the information from Logbook Pro PC edition and initialize your app.  If you are changing sync credentials you may be prompted to sync and/or sync & purge.  If you have data in the device it is a good idea to allow the app to purge saved data and prepare synchronization with the new account.

Preferences:

Sync on Start:

When the app starts or resumes, if an Internet connection is available, Logbook Pro will sync with the cloud.  Sync takes typically less than one second.  A green bar will fade in and fade out at the top of the screen to indicate synchronization occurred.

Sync on Exit:

Just like Sync on Start except sync occurs when leaving the app (suspend or close)

Sync Pending Flights:

The default option is not to sync Pending Flights, i.e. flights not yet flown.  However, for airline pilots, etc. that may need their FAR 121/135 reports updated to reflect future flying to check limits syncing pending flights may be of value.  Set ON to allow pending flights to be synced.  Note:  As Logbook Pro PC edition reviews your flight log for erroneous entries, i.e. a row of information that does not meet the minimum required fields of Date, Type, Ident, Route, and Duration (or SIM) pending flight data could be auto purged on the PC side.  If you set Sync Pending Flights to ON you should go into Logbook Pro PC edition's Options/Flight Log area and clear the bottom most checkbox.

Purge Synced Data:

As data on the device serves no value, device reports do not use it, data can be removed once sent to the Cloud Sync portal awaiting synchronization to Logbook Pro PC edition.  To automatically remove data after it has been synchronized set this option to ON.  You can purge synced data by tapping the trash can button on the lower left of each data area or the top right of the home screen.  You will be prompted to delete all data or only synced data.

Time Zone:

Set the desired time zone for the Flight's OUT, Takeoff, Landing, and IN times to one of the three options:  Device Local, UTC, or Custom.  Data will be converted to this time zone when synced back to Logbook Pro PC edition.  Click here to learn more about time zone options.

On-Demand Sync:

You can command a sync from just about any screen in the app using either a two-finger vertical swipe or a double-tap in empty areas such as the grey areas around content.  If you don't want to use this functionality you can option it OFF as indicated above.
